February 5, 2011

Finnish metal bands CHILDREN OF BODOM and AMORPHIS will team up for a four-date tour of Japan in June.

The dates are as follows:

June 14 - Shibuya-Ax - Tokyo, Japan
June 15 - Club Quattro - Nagoya, Japan
June 17 - Namba Hatch - Osaka, Japan
June 18 - Bay Hall - Yokohama, Japan

CHILDREN OF BODOM's new album, "Relentless Reckless Forever", is now available for pre-order in a variety of formats via RelentlessRecklessForever.com. These include the "Super Deluxe Edition", which consists of the album housed within a 64-page hardcover book plus a DVD containing a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the "Was It Worth It?" music video and CHILDREN OF BODOM "Live from Bloodstock Open Air" footage as well as a first look at a Rock House instructional guitar lesson with the band's frontman Alexi Laiho taken from the upcoming "In Your Face Guitar" instructional DVD, which also hits stores on March 8. A second special edition package contains the "Super Deluxe Edition" of "Relentless Reckless Forever" and adds a limited vinyl LP version of the album, a CHILDREN OF BODOM t-shirt and the "In Your Face Guitar" instructional DVD. The first 300 fans to pre-order this bundle will also receive a "Relentless Reckless Forever" poster autographed by the band.

Recorded in Finland's Petrax Studios with famed rock producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, MONSTER MAGNET),"Relentless Reckless Forever" is the seventh studio album of COB's illustrious career and the first new record from the band since 2008's "Blooddrunk", which debuted at #22 on The Billboard 200 chart and scored the quintet its third consecutive No. 1 debut in Finland.

AMORPHIS is putting the finishing touches on its new album for a late spring release. The CD was recorded primarily at Sonic Pump Studios, while the vocals are being laid down at Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH, TAROT) home studio in Kuopio. The album will tell the story of the most important character of Finnish mythology and folklore. He is the Finnish god Väinämöinen, who was described as "an extremely powerful, wise old man who had a magical voice." Some believe that Väinämöinen was the creator of the world, an ancient hero and a very influential shaman. The CD artwork is once again being created by Travis Smith.
