CHILDREN OF BODOM Bassist Checks In From UNHOLY ALLIANCE TOUR
June 21, 2006CHILDREN OF BODOM bassist Henkka T. Blacksmith has checked in from the band's Unholy Alliance Tour with SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON and THINE EYES BLEED. His posting on COB's official web site reads as follows:
"The Unholy Alliance Tour has started very well... Three shows behind. It's been really cool to play on arenas. I first thought it might be boring, 'cos you dont get the same contact with the crowd. You, know, the crowd is far and stage is high and so... But it's been great. We have fit really good on stage, the reactions [from] the SLAYER crowd [have] been great. We've been surprised how people been shouting our name before our set. And we haven't so far got the reaction what were afraid of, that 5,000 people would scream 'SLAYEEEER' between every song... Production, people on tour, bands...everything's been great, smooth and above all expectations.
"So, we are having fun here. Minor health problems (I had to get some antibiotics in Massachusetts),air condition problems (it broke down and it's fucking hot!!!!!!! in the bus),but everything else is great!!!"
