CHIMAIRA: Tenth Annual Christmas Show Announced

Cleveland metallers CHIMAIRA will play their tenth annual Christmas show on December 27 at the House of Blues in the band's hometown. Tickets will be priced $10.00.

$10 tickets and VIP reserved seating packages go on sale tomorrow (September 16). The $10 tickets are very limited and only at this price for two days.

CHIMAIRA will embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in January 2010. Support on the trek will come from DOUBLE DRAGON. This will be CHIMAIRA's first headlining Australian tour, having previously played the country as a support act for IN FLAMES, BIOHAZARD and KORN.

CHIMAIRA's new album, "The Infection", entered the official Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) chart at position No. 76. The CD also landed on the chart of the Australian electronics and music retailer JB Hi-Fi at No. 33.

"The Infection" sold 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 30 on The Billboard 200 chart.

CHIMAIRA's previous album, "Resurrection", opened with 16,000 copies back in March 2007 to land at No. 42.

CHIMAIRA recently supported HATEBREED on the "Decimation Of The Nation" tour that also featured heavy hitters WINDS OF PLAGUE, DYING FETUS and TOXIC HOLOCAUST.
