CHRIS CAFFERY Comments On MERENDINE ATOMICHE Album Recordings

August 21, 2007

Veteran Italian metallers MERENDINE ATOMICHE have tapped guitarist Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, DORO) to assist them during the recording sessions for their third full-length album, entitled "Rude Rebel Brotherhood". The CD is being recorded at New Sin studios in Loria - Treviso, Italy.

Commented Caffery: "I had a great time working in Italy. Zander, the [MERENDINE ATOMICHE] vocalist did a great job. He has a very unique voice. He can do many things with it.

"We had ten songs to finish in two days! I was excited that we were able to get the job done! He was as well because Sunday was his birthday and he had a huge party to attend in his honor. I stopped by briefly after dinner to say hello. He was there 'til 9AM!!!

"The studio was called New Sin Studios in Treviso. The engineer and owner, Luigi, was amazing!

"Yesterday went in and did a few leads and some speaking parts. Then I headed into Venice. I love this city. It is the type of place I would like to have an apartment. Right on a canal, nothing but access by boat! Starbucks had its crown taken away. A coffee with ice cream cost 15 euros with a 5 euro table charge for sitting near the band. So...basically it was $26 bucks!!!

"The band and their friends all treated me so nice. I want to thank Luca and the guys for making me feel so comfortable in Italy. Of course everyone was asking me when SAVATAGE would play again and as usual I had no answers."

"Rude Rebel Brotherhood" will contain anywhere from eight to ten to 11 tracks and will follow the same hard rock thrash metal vein that was featured on the band's last effort, "Raw" (2006). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Ignorance", "No, I Can't", "Summer Meal", "Burnt", "Hope", "Helmet", "Captain Venice", "Rise of the Lion", "Just for Us" and "Rude Rebel Brotherhood".

MERENDINE ATOMICHE's 2003 release, "Walk Across Fire", along with their demo, mini-CD, and tribute to METALLICA, established the band's powerful sound, mixing a classic thrash metal style with elements of hardcore and pure heavy metal.

"Raw" was produced by prominent metal guitarist Jack Frost, who has performed with SAVATAGE, SEVEN WITCHES and many other bands.
