CHRIS CAFFERY: New Solo Album Mixed

July 18, 2008

Guitarist Chris Caffery (SAVATAGE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA) entered the studio at the end of April to begin recording his new solo album, "House Of Insanity", for an October release. According to Chris, the mixing process has has now been completed and "[I'm] really excited! It came out so cool. I will do a final re-mix of everything in the near future but I spent all day today going through each song and re-mixing it to a point where I could release it tomorrow if I needed to.

"I wanted some time off before I went to Europe so the last two days I have worked 19 hours a day on this stuff.

"I have never been so excited to get music out there for people to hear in my life. This stuff is so much fun to listen to. I hope you have as much fun when you hear it as I did making it.

"It was kinda weird sometimes being stuck in the studio all alone. Other than the four days I spent on drums, every single day has been just me. I have never done that before! Well, my cat was here most of the time!!! Wrote, produced, engineered, guitars, bass, lead vocals, backing vocals, mixing...all just me...with the exception of some extra backing vocals and keys from Lonnie Park, a guitar solo from Glen Drover [ex-MEGADETH], a duet lead vocal track from Zak Stevens [CIRCILE II CIRCLE, ex-SAVATAGE] all this stuff apart from the drums was done by me here at my studio. Those other tracks all arrived via email!!! I did have DOCTOR BUTCHER bassist Brian Gregory assist me in setting up my bass sound and he played bass on two songs with me."

Caffery recently revealed that this next solo album will include "a really cool metal cover of 'Get Up, Stand Up' by BOB MARLEY." He added, "It is actually a cool metal anthem!" Other working songtitles set to appear on the CD include "House Of Insanity", "Shame", "Fight The Fleas", "Sorry", "Schizophrenia", "Seasons Change", "Back's To The Wall", "Solitaire", "Winter in Hamburg" and "No Matter What".

Chris Caffery's last solo album, "Pins and Needles", was released in Europe in March 2007 via Metal Heaven Records. The CD arrived in North America on June 5 via Locomotive.
