CHRIS CORNELL Schedules U.K. Headlining Show

April 6, 2007

Former SOUNDGARDEN/AUDIOSLAVE frontman Chris Cornell has announced a headlining U.K. show on May 16 at the Astoria in London. Chris will also be special guest to AEROSMITH at London's Hyde Park Calling Festival on May 24.

The new Cornell track "Arms around Your Love" will be released as a single in the U.K. on May 21, with the album, "Carry On" following on May 28 (the U.S. release is scheduled for June 5 via Suretone/Interscope).

Cornell's new U.S. single, "No Such Thing", has been made available for streaming via his MySpace page.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year Steve Lillywhite, "Carry On" is the 13th career album for Cornell.

Cornell began working on the disc last fall after the release of AUDIOSLAVE's third album, "Revelations". News of the solo project fueled rumors of a split with AUDIOSLAVE, with Cornell officially leaving the band in February due to "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences." The 14-track effort will feature "You Know My Name", Cornell's theme for the latest James Bond film, "Casino Royale", as well as a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Billie Jean".

Chris Cornell will embark on a spring solo tour to preview material from "Carry On". The outing will begin April 6 in Las Vegas and run through May 2 in Los Angeles.
