CHUCK BILLY To Be Joined By Former/Current TESTAMENT Members At 'Longest Walk' Kick-Off Concert

Chuck Billy, lead singer of legendary thrash metal band TESTAMENT and proud member of the Pomo Indian tribe, will perform at the Longest Walk kick-off concert on Saturday, February 9. He will be joined during the performance by his brother Andy Billy (guitar; DUBLIN DEATH PATROL) and singer Star Nayea, along with Glen Alvelais (guitar; FORBIDDEN, ex-TESTAMENT),Greg Christian (bass; TESTAMENT),and Jon Allen (drums; SADUS, ex-TESTAMENT). They will play two TESTAMENT songs: "The Legacy" and "Trail Of Tears". The Longest Walk kick-off concert will also feature performances by 7TH GENERATION RISE, BLACKHORSE BLUES BAND, JEREMY GOODFEATHER, and others.

The concert begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Eastside Art Alliance in Oakland, California. Billy and his fellow performers are expected to hit the stage at 9:05 p.m.

Tickets range in price from $25 to $40.

The concert is a benefit for the Longest Walk 2, which kicks off on Monday, February 11.

The Longest Walk 2 is being organized and led by American Indian Movement co-founder Dennis J. Banks. Participants will embark on a five-month journey across America, walking over 4,400 miles to Washington, D.C., arriving on July 11, 2008. It is an extraordinary grassroots effort on a national level to bring attention to the environmental disharmony of Mother Earth.

TESTAMENT's new album, "The Formation of Damnation", is scheduled for release in North America on April 29 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The band recorded the effort in part with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California.
