CHUCK SCHULDINER Benefit Concert To Be Held This Saturday On Long Island

A benefit for concert for late DEATH/CONTROL DENIED mastermind Chuck Schuldiner will be held this coming Saturday, July 24 at Broadway (198 Broadway Ave.) in Amityville, New York.

The following bands are scheduled to appear at the event:

* INFERNAL DEATH (DEATH tribute)
* MANTIC RITUAL
* HEXEN (from Los Angeles)
* RATTLEHEAD (from Hollywood, California)
* KOROTROY (from Long Island, New York)
* CARCINOGEN (from Long Island, New York)

Last Resort Records and Fullforce Studio have donated t-shirts to be raffled off to help raise money during the show.

Admission is only $10 at the door.

Relapse Records recently announced a partnership with Perseverance Holdings Ltd. and the Schuldiner family to reissue the legendary catalog of Chuck Schuldiner and his bands DEATH, CONTROL DENIED and MANTAS.

Chuck Schuldiner's DEATH, one of the most important and influential metal bands of all-time, recently saw the first official digital releases of its legendary albums "Scream Bloody Gore", "Leprosy", "Spiritual Healing", "Human", "Individual Thought Patterns" and "The Sound Of Perseverance" via iTunes.

Chuck Schuldiner passed away on December 13, 2001 at age 34 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor.
