CHUM Reunion Shows This Weekend!

January 16, 2002

Former Century Media recording artists CHUM will be staging two reunion shows—on Friday, January 18th at The Stoned Monkey in the group's hometown of Huntington, West Virginia and on Saturday, January 19th at Club 812 in Charleston, West Virginia.

A largely unknown entity, CHUM garnered a fair amount of attention when they were active and released one classic album, entitled Dead to the World (1996),before being unceremoniously dropped by the aforementioned label. Former CHUM guitarist/vocalist John Lancaster, guitarist Mac Walker and bassist Chris Tackett are presently pursuing new projects (Cincinnati-based SEMI-AUTOMATIC in the case of Lancaster and Huntington's MILK OF NAPALM in the case of Walker/Tackett),both of which will also be playing at the above-mentioned gigs along with fellow Huntington, West Virginia band HYBRID ZERO. Joining Lancaster, Walker and Tackett on drums will be SEMI-AUTOMATIC's Dave Becknell, who will sit behind the kit for a few CHUM tunes at the end of the night following SEMI-AUTOMATIC's regular set.

For more information on CHUM, visit the group's official web site at this location. SEMI-AUTOMATIC's official web site can be accessed here, and MILK OF NAPALM's official home on the web is at this location.
