Swedish progressive metallers CIPHER SYSTEM have issued the following update:
"We are sad to announce the departure of our longtime friend and drummer Pontus Andersson. The departure didn't come as a shock but still it feels heavy to start the search for a new drummer to take his place as he is one of the founders of this band.
"We would love to have a guy from Sweden that could reharsal in Gothenburg. As we don't make any big money on this band, we apreciate you to be serious, professional and really love to play music just as much as we do. So if you know anyone or if you play drums your self, feel free to mail us your interest. We want a drummer that can handle the drums to a click track as we will performe with backing tracks live. We really want to start doing live shows again, so this is a vital part. Feel free to send in videos of you playing one or two songs of ours."
CIPHER SYSTEM recently posted behind-the-scenes video footage from the band's recording sessions at Studio Fredman. Watch the three-and-a-half-minute clip below. The group has also uploaded a new track entitled "Forget to Forgive" to its MySpace page. The song will be included on CIPHER SYSTEM's upcoming second album, which will be the group's first to feature new singer Andreas Solveström (also in WITHIN Y).
CIPHER SYSTEM recently announced the addition of guitarist Andreas Allenmark (ANATA) to the group's ranks.
CIPHER SYSTEM's critically acclaimed debut album, "Central Tunnel Eight" came out in November 2004 through Lifeforce Records.
