CIRCUS OF POWER '20th Anniversary' Reunion Show To Be Shot For 'Road To Ruin' Film

June 2, 2006

Film director Drew Stone (MTV's "True Life""I Live To Ride" episode; "Urban Street - Bike Warriors" trilogy; AGNOSTIC FRONT's "Gotta Go" video) will be filming the CIRCUS OF POWER reunion show this weekend for inclusion in his upcoming "Road to Ruin" film. The movie is also expected to include footage from the STIGMATA reunion show, which featured SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner. "Road to Ruin" is scheduled for an April 2007 release.

CIRCUS OF POWER members Ricky Beck Mahler (guitar),Alex Mitchell (vocals),Ryan Maher (drums) and Marc Frappier (bass) will be playing a "20th Anniversary Show" June 3 at The Elysium in Austin, Texas. They will be performing their classic 1988 self-titled debut in its entirety as well as the songs "Dreams Tonight" and "Vices". Also appearing on the bill will be BROKEN TEETH and CRANK COUNTY DAREDEVILS.

Says Stone: "[CIRCUS OF POWER] was a great band back in the day that came out of the gritty, dirty New York rock scene of the late '80s/early '90s. Although I'm out on the road with the 'Urban Street - Bike Warriors Tour', I'm dropping EVERYTHING to come to the show to shoot it. I'm VERY excited to see this band on stage again and glad to see rock and roll on the comeback trail."
