Having overcome the obstacles posed by several lineup changes, CIVILIZATION ONE has produced an LP that "continues with the sound forged on their debut release, 'Revolution Rising', but now with more of an emphasis placed on melodic hooks and melodies," according to a press release.

"Calling The Gods" features a guest solo by HELLOWEEN guitarist Sascha Gerstner. Somapala states, "We don't sound like every other metal band, and 'Calling The Gods', has elements for all metal fans in every facet of the genre.

"In 2008 we made a huge impact in my home country of Sri Lanka as CIVILIZATION ONE was the first international metal act to ever play in Sri Lanka, performing in front of 4000 people; we were invited back again this year, and were welcomed as returning heroes.

"CIVILIZATION ONE plans to leave the same impact on the rest of the world upon the release of 'Calling The Gods', hitting the stage wherever quality heavy metal is appreciated."
