Classic Thrash Video Lessons with EXODUS Guitarists GARY HOLT And LEE ALTUS
April 11, 2008MetalKult.com has just posted an exclusive video guitar lesson with EXODUS' Gary Holt and Lee Altus.
The footage was filmed when the West Coast thrash vets came to New York to play a show on February 7, 2008, at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in support of their latest album, "The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A".
In the lesson, the two guitarists demonstrate how to play a few riffs from their greatest hits, including "Toxic Waltz" and "Bonded By Blood", "Pirahna", "No Love", "And Then There Were None", "Fabulous Disaster", as well as from new tracks like "Children of a Worthless God" and "Funeral Hymn".

EXODUS' video for the song "Riot Act" was directed by Jon Schnepp of "Metalocalypse" (on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim) for Schneppzone Inc. The clip, which made its TV debut in December on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball", can be viewed below.
"Riot Act" comes off the group's new album, "The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A", which sold 3,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in October 2007, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY).
