CLOUDSCAPE Filming Footage For Possible DVD
July 13, 2007Swedish metallers CLOUDSCAPE have issued the following update:
"CLOUDSCAPE will enter the RoastingHouse studio [in Malmö, Sweden] in September to record their yet-untitled third album. 12 songs will be recorded and the band is really satisfied with the outcome and variation that the new album will bring. There are no release dates settled yet but, expect the album to be released sometime during early 2008. CLOUDSCAPE is also filming a lot during their journeys to gigs and backstage footage, so hopefully they will have a decent amount of filmed material for a 'possible' documentary that will be finished later this year. No details can be revealed about this just yet, but hopefully this can be released as an official DVD sometime in 2008... Who knows, but right now there is nothing settled and it is only the band that is planning this. There will be some real live recordings but, mostly 'behind-the-scenes' footage plus the promotional videos. More details about this as soon as it can be revealed.
"Mike (Anderson, vocals) and Carl-Johan Grimmark (NARNIA, ROB ROCK) recently started to work on a second PLANET ALLIANCE album so, hopefully there will be a new PLANET ALLIANCE album released in 2008 or 2009. News about this is easiest found in Mike's personal MySpace page."
CLOUDSCAPE's video for the song "Demon Tears" has been posted online at this location. The clip was directed, filmed and edited by Rainer Holmgren and was included on the ProgPower UK DVD sampler, which was made available during the ProgPower UK festival on March 31, 2007. 11 actors are featured in the video, including Andy Pierce, who is the lead singer in the Swedish glam rock band NASTY IDOLS. Director Rainer Holmgren also appears in the clip in a boxing match scene.
"Demon Tears" comes off CLOUDSCAPE's sophomore album, "Crimson Skies", which was released in the U.S. in July 2006 via Nightmare Records. Artwork for the album was created by Mattias Norén.
