CLOUDSCAPE Scrap Album Artwork

October 22, 2004

Swedish melodic metallers CLOUDSCAPE have scrapped Conny Myrberg's album artwork originally created for the group's self-titled debut album. "Due to different reasons [the band] couldn't use Conny's picture," reads a posting on the group's web site. "CLOUDSCAPE is really sad about this situation but looks forward to Mattias Norén's [ProgArt] cover. Mattias has been very helpful because of this situation so CLOUDSCAPE salutes him."

"Cloudscape" is scheduled for release in Europe on January 29, 2005. A Japanese release through Marquee/Avalon is expected on December 21, 2004.

The CD was recorded at RoastingHouse Studios in Malmö, Sweden with producers Anders "Theo" Theander (PAIN OF SALVATION, LAST TRIBE, PATHOS) and Pontus Lindmark. The album contains 12 songs and one bonus track for Asia. Acclaimed guitarist Torben Enevoldsen (SECTION A) contributes a guest solo to the album's opening cut, "As the Light Leads the Way". MP3 clips can be found at CLOUDSCAPE's official web site.
