COAL CHAMBER Bassist Releases Solo EP

August 21, 2012

COAL CHAMBER bassist Chela Rhea Harper has released the second EP from her solo project, SARASVATI, via Bandcamp. The effort, which was originally issued in 2008, is now available for purchase for the first time in your choice of MP3 320, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire. Chela says, "Those of you who buy the full EP will also get a bonus track with me on guitar featuring Vishal Singh from AMOGH SYMPHONY on drums and Mark Hawkins from DEVOLVED on bass."

The track listing for the EP is as follows:

01. A Distant Mirror (03:48)
02. Oceans Can Wait (03:28)
03. Crystalline (02:35)
04. Point Of No Return (03:44)

In an October 2011 interview with Full Metal Jackie, COAL CHAMBER frontman Dez Fafara stated about Chela, "She's Canadian and she's a bad-ass player. She's been playing for nearly 12 years. She plays five-string and . . . she grew up with COAL CHAMBER. She's only 26-27 years old. She knows the songs, and just hearing her on the phone, the excitement [in her voice], that's really what I wanted brought to the table. Where Meegs [guitar] and Mikey [drums] and I am right now, we're really excited so we needed someone that filled that excitement drawer and she did for sure; she's stoked."
