COHEED AND CAMBRIA Releases Animated Holiday Video For 'Toys'

December 12, 2019

Modern progressive rock band COHEED AND CAMBRIA has released an official music video for "Toys", which is featured on the group's acclaimed new LP "The Unheavenly Creatures". The animated holiday clip, titled "The Unheavenly Christmas Carol", was developed by the band's frontman Claudio Sanchez and directed by Alek Wasilewski. The video debuted earlier today via Funny Or Die, which professed: "We're in the middle of 45's impeachment... that's a lot to try and cope with during the holiday season, but COHEED AND CAMBRIA's here to meld holiday bliss with democratic shit-shows."

Sanchez remarked: "I've wanted to 'toy' with a Santa story for some time. I guess, no better time than the present. And for Jolly Ole' to decide if he's Naughty or Nice? The President."

Last month, COHEED AND CAMBRIA announced the S.S. Neverender, the band's very own immersive festival at sea, which promptly sold out in three days during the pre-sale. The S.S. Neverender, which sets sail aboard the Norwegian Pearl on October 26-30, 2020 from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, will see the band performing early songs and deep cuts from its catalog. The cruise will also find COHEED AND CAMBRIA bringing its sci-fi concept, "The Amory Wars", to life with several on-board installations, and will include additional performances from TAKING BACK SUNDAY, THRICE, THE DEAR HUNTER, POWER TRIP, POLYPHIA, THANK YOU SCIENTIST, SHEER MAG, CULTURE ABUSE, TORCHE, FIRE DEUCE, WEERD SCIENCE, 3, RADKEY, HAIL THE SUN and PEELANDER-Z.

COHEED AND CAMBRIA recently canceled its remaining 2019 tour dates in order to allow drummer Josh Eppard time to recover in full from a heart operation.

"The Unheavenly Creatures" was released last year. The 78-minute disc debuted in the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 chart.

Comprised of Sanchez, Eppard, Travis Stever (guitar) and Zach Cooper (bass),COHEED AND CAMBRIA has gripped listeners and press around the globe with its visionary compositions and conceptual mastery.
