COLD Select First Single From 'Year of the Spider'

February 6, 2003

COLD have set "Stupid Girl" as the first single off their upcoming album, "Year of the Spider", due on April 29 through Geffen Records. As previously reported, "Year Of The Spider" was recorded in part at Bay 7 Studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Howard Benson (SEPULTURA, P.O.D., SKINDRED) and includes the track "Kurt", which was written as a tribute to late NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain. The follow-up to 2000's "13 Ways To Bleed On Stage" will contain guest appearances from NONPOINT singer Elias Soriano and DOLLSHEAD's Sierra Swan, and will feature a much more melodic direction than in the past — "more like a heavy SADE record," according to singer Scooter Ward.
