COLDWORKER Parts Ways With Guitarist, Announces Replacement

January 9, 2007

COLDWORKER, the Örebro, Sweden-based band consisting of current and former/current members of such bands as NASUM, RELENTLESS, CARNAL GRIEF, RUIN and PHOBOS, has issued the following update:

"In the begining of 2007, there was a line-up change in COLDWORKER. André Alvinzi [guitar] has been replaced by Daniel Schröder. Daniel comes from RUIN just like Anders Bertilsson, and will have the role of a rhythm guitarist in the band as Anders B. becomes the solo guitarist.

"We will spend the closest time rehearsing the old songs with Daniel and at the same time work on some new material for a possible demo recording in March.

"We want to thank André for his time and wish him all the best in CARNAL GRIEF and whereever his musical creativeness will take him."

An e-card for COLDWORKER's debut album, "The Contaminated Void", is available at this location.

"The Contaminated Void" was recorded by the band last June and mixed by Dan Swanö. A three-minute MP3 file containing audio samples of "The Contaminated Void" can be downloaded here. The CD is due in the U.S. on January 23 via Relapse Records.
