Colorado Lottery Launches AEROSMITH-Themed Scratch Game
April 5, 2010The Colorado Lottery is offering consumers the chance to rock their way to riches with a new AEROSMITH-branded Scratch game. The $5 AEROSMITH-themed tickets go on sale today and feature three, $100,000 top prizes.
To win, players scratch off numbered tracks hidden under guitar picks or stars and attempt to match those numbers to the winning tracks. The overall odds of winning the game are in 1 in 3.9. Those players who don't walk away immediate winners can enter their non-winning tickets in a drawing for a Dirico ProStreet motorcycle designed by Steven Tyler or one of two all expenses-paid trips for two to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio. The trips also include admission to an AEROSMITH-hosted party, $250 in spending money and an AEROSMITH merchandise gift package.
"This game not only offers some substantial instant prizes, but also the chance to get up close and personal with one of rock music's legendary acts," said Colorado Lottery Director Tom Kitts.
Formed in 1970, AEROSMITH has sold 150 million albums worldwide and has won four Grammy Awards. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. The AEROSMITH-branded Scratch game marks the first time the Lottery has offered a ticket featuring a major rock band.
Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery's games — Scratch, MatchPlay, Cash 5, Lotto and Powerball — stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2 billion to the state of Colorado since it was established. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided funding for new trails, precious open space and wildlife protection.
