COMPOS MENTIS Announces New Guitarist

November 6, 2006

Danish death metallers COMPOS MENTIS have announced the addition of Ken Holst (BLOODSOIL, ex-ADVERSARY),who played with the group as a session guitarist, as as a permanent member of the band.

As previously reported, keyboardist Bo Damgaard recently left COMPOS MENTIS after seven years "due to lack of time," according to a posting on the group's web site. Says the band, "We are now searching for a new keyboardist from the Aarhus area. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact us!"

COMPOS MENTIS is currently seeking a label to release its recently completed second album, "Gehennesis". The CD was recorded at ZigZound studio (NAPALM DEATH, ILLDISPOSED, MERCENARY, HATESPHERE, etc.).

Commented the band: "Compared to our previous effort, 'Fragments of a Withered Dream', the material on the coming album is faster and more intense and as far as the production goes, it is way heavier! Furthermore, a choir with 45 singers paid us a visit in the studio to record som parts for a few of the songs, and the result turned out very grandiose."

COMPOS MENTIS' debut album, "Fragments of a Withered Dream", was released in January 2003 via Lost Disciple Records.
