COMPOS MENTIS: In Writing Mode

February 20, 2008

Danish death metal band COMPOS MENTIS — whose second album, "Gehennesis", was released in March 2007 via Mighty Music — has issued the following update:

"This spring we have gone under ground in order to focus on composing material for our third album, which will be recorded at CBStudios on various occasions during July and August.

"Since the recording of 'Gehennesis', three menbers have joined COMPOS MENTIS, namely Ken (guitar),Rune (keyboard),and Claus (bass),and with these lineup changes we had a perfect chance to further develop the music of COMPOS MENTIS.

All members — new as old — are contributing to the making of the new album and the songs that have been written so far are faster and more riff-orientated and the song structures are a bit more straightforward than previously. It still sounds like COMPOS MENTIS, of course, but with a whole lot more to it!

"A single concert is scheduled to take place on the 10th of April at Lades Kaelder in Copenhagen, where it will be possible to get a taste of the new material."

COMPOS MENTIS 2008 is:

Jesper Heinsvig: Vocals
Jesper Ryan Kristensen: Guitar
Ryan Andreas Posselt: Drums
Andreas Ken Holst: Guitar
Ken Rune Klausen: Keyboards
Rune Claus Tørnes: Bass
