CONELRAD Offers Complete Discography For Download

November 29, 2007

CONELRAD, the Pittsburgh, PA / New York City, NY duo featuring Jeff Gretz (FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES, ex-ZAO) and Adam MacGregor (MICROWAVES, ex-CREATION IS CRUCIFIXION),has posted its entire discography up for download at this location. The band's full-length CD, "A Final Dissolution", two seven-inch EPs ("Bezoar" and "Sluts and Slobs") and an out-of-print collaboration with Steve Moore (of Relapse recording artists ZOMBI) entitled "Torus Shock Trio Sessions" can be purchased digitally.

Commented Jeff Gretz: "We're not offering these things up for free; they're no cheaper than if you buy the physical records. The point being that we're trying to make the music available and at the same time using the proceeds collected by the downloads to help fund physical releases for the people that want them. We'll put them out ourselves. Smaller pressings, lower overhead, better packaging. We'll release and distribute everything from this point on by ourselves. People will be able to order them FROM the band knowing that in doing so they can keep the band active."

The band plans to open an online store for the physical releases on their soon-to-be launched web site. Part of this store will be CD-R's containing the material with orders of vinyl releases.

Added Gretz: "If people want this material we will make it available. By having direct contact with the fans as opposed to answering to a label we will be able to make music without the distractions of what somebody's fourth-quarter needs or SoundScan projections dictating what that music should sound like or when or how we should operate as a band."
