CONFIDENCE Taps KEVIN CHURKO For New Album Mix

October 5, 2012

Swedish rockers from CONFIDENCE have tapped Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, HINDER, IN THIS MOMENT) to mix their album at The Hideout studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Commented CONFIDENCE keyboardist Clas Sjöstrand (who was responsible for the mix on the band's first release): "Why I took the decision to engage Kevin Churko? I have always admired and still am a big fan of Ozzy's music and the sound in particular.

"As the recordings came to the point where a decision had to be made who would do the mixing, the choice was Kevin Churko. I really wanted to know what would happen when a huge industry giant mixed our music, what would come out of the speakers and what sound a guy like this could create as an outsider who never heard us before. After hearing the mixes ... I rest my case .. it is so good. For the first time in my life, I really enjoyed listening to myself in a band that I really care a lot for."

CONFIDENCE released its debut, "Prelude", on May 23. The band's next CD will be made available in November.
