CONSTRUCDEAD Parts Ways With Guitarist

April 17, 2010

After almost 11 years, Swedish death/thrash metallers CONSTRUCDEAD have parted ways with founding guitarist Christian Ericson. A replacement axeman has not yet been announced.

CONSTRUCDEAD's fourth album, "Endless Echo", was released on August 21, 2009 via Black Lodge Records. The CD was recorded at Not Quite Studio with producers Klas Ideberg and Peter Wildoer of DARKANE. According to a press release, the 12-song album features "more of everything — blast beats, melodies, chrunching heavy bass and the most extreme vocals from the band so far."

"Endless Echo" track listing:

01. Sedated Morning
02. My Haven
03. Endless Echoes
04. A Goddess Breaches Through Me
05. Disfigured Beauty
06. Mephisto
07. No Exit
08. Transfixed
09. Tragic Kingdom
10. Spiritual Shift
11. The One Beside Me
12. Cataclysm

CONSTRUCDEAD parted ways with drummer Nicke Karlsson shortly after the recording of the album. According to the band, "We just felt that he wasn't the drummer for CONSTRUCDEAD and on some levels we didn't go along either. We've asked Chris [Barkensjö] from FACE DOWN to fill in on the drums, and it's working out really good.'

The band's third album, "The Grand Machinery", was released in September 2005 via Black Lodge Records.
