November 30, 2011

Melbourne, Australia-based power trio CONTRIVE will support CAVALERA CONSPIRACY on the following dates:

Jan. 27 - ANU Bar - Canberra, Australia
Jan. 28 - Metro Theatre - Sydney, Australia
Feb. 01 - Billboard - Melbourne, Australia

CONTRIVE's second album, "The Internal Dialogue", is available in Australia at all JB Hi Fi and independent stores through MGM Distribution or iTunes worldwide. The first pressing was a limited-edition hand-numbered digipack limited to 500 copies only which was made available through the band's MySpace page for fans outside of Australia.

Canadian musician/producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STEVE VAI, LAMB OF GOD, DARKEST HOUR, GWAR) handled the mixing duties on "The Internal Dialogue" in August 2009, with drummer Andrew Haug sitting in on the process at Studio D in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Commented Devin Townsend: "I've known the Haug brothers for some time, and I have to say that this record is leagues ahead of their previous material, which was already great. They've got a cool message and a sense of dynamics on this album which I think will give people the cause to take notice. Organic and honest."

"The Internal Dialogue" is available for streaming in its entirety at this location.

Andrew Haug has been hosting Triple J's weekly national metal program "The Racket" (formerly "Full Metal Racket") since 2001. He is a longtime metalhead who has conducted interviews with such greats as METALLICA, TOOL, PANTERA, SLAYER, OZZY OSBOURNE and more.
