COREY TAYLOR: I Will Take STONE SOUR As Far As I Can

October 22, 2002

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor is looking to take his band as far as it will go in 2002 and on into 2003, even if that means delaying work on the next SLIPKNOT record.

"The more this [STONE SOUR] blows up, the longer we're going to be out," Taylor recently stated. "So, we're looking at... Right now, I'm looking at coming back [with SLIPKNOT] around summer. It might be later. I'm taking this to its natural end and nobody's gonna fuckin' stop me."

Corey added that he's loyal to SLIPKNOT, but he'd be dishonest with himself if he didn't give STONE SOUR every chance to succeed. STONE SOUR's "Bother" is racing up the Modern Rock charts and is showing crossover potential.
