COREY TAYLOR Speaks Out On Being Homeless

January 30, 2003

STONE SOUR/SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor recently spoke about the lyrical concept behind the song "Inhale", the next single from STONE SOUR's self-titled debut and the follow-up to the mega-successful "Bother".

" 'Inhale' is about when I was homeless and just kind of roaming around trying to figure everything out and still at the same time holding out hope that you can get past something like that," Taylor said. "I was a dumb kid. I was all fucked up. I had issues, and I made life hell for the people who loved me. I had to get away from them because if I had stayed there it would have been even worse."

"It was my own fault," added Taylor about his homeless experience. "But I tell you what, you get on the street and it fuckin' brings you back to reality like that!"
