CORPORATION 187 Vocalist Quits

November 13, 2008

Vocalist Filip Carlsson has announced his departure from the Swedish thrash metal band CORPORATION 187. "The main reason [for my decision to leave the group] is health-related, since I too often suffer from extreme headache," Filip explained in a statement. "I simply can't pull it off anymore. I want to thank Magnus [Pettersson, guitar], Olof [Knutsson, guitar], Robert [Eng, drums] and Viktor [Klint, bass] for all the great times we had through the years. I will be coming to your shows and I'll buy your next album so don't make me disappointed."

Carlsson's last concert with CORPORATION 187 will take place on December 6 at Arena in Karlstad, Sweden.

"My Sickness", the latest video from CORPORATION 187, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed on February 9 with directors Anders Carlborg and Erroll.

CORPORATION 187 released its third album, "Newcomers of Sin", in March via Anticulture Records. The CD was recorded at the band's own studio in Linköping and was mastered on December 13, 2007 at Tailor Maid Production in Stockholm by Peter In de Betou.

CORPORATION 187 was previously signed to Wicked World/Earache Records, which released 2002's "Perfection in Pain" and 2000's "Subliminal Fear".
