COSMOSQUAD Confirmed For Exclusive FENDER Event

November 6, 2007

Heralded Southern California metal fusioneers COSMOSQUAD, featuring acclaimed guitarist Jeff Kollman (GLENN HUGHES, MOGG/WAY),Canadian drummer Shane Gaalaas (B'Z, DIESEL MACHINE),and bassist Christopher Maloney (DWEEZIL ZAPPA, HARDLINE) have been confirmed for the fourth annual "Fender Bass Bash", a special "invitation-only" event hosted online by www.rehearsals.com on November 15 at Center Staging in Burbank, CA.

COSMOSQUAD will make another appearance at the Baked Potato in Universal City, CA on Friday, November 16 for what will be their final L.A. show of the year. The band is currently editing live HD multi-cam footage from its recent Musician's Institute gig for the first-ever COSMOSQUAD DVD, tentatively scheduled for release sometime after the New Year.

In related news, guitarist Jeff Kollman has formed a new, as-yet-unnamed instrumental group featuring drummer Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, GLENN HUGHES),bassist Kevin Chown (EDWIN DARE, UNCLE CRACKER),and keyboardist Ed Roth (GLENN HUGHES, IMPELLITTERI). "The chemistry between us is just really awesome!" enthuses Kollman. "Everyone comes from a bit of a different place musically. It's really geling together as a cool sound. Ed's got the funk and '70s R&B thing going on; Chown's a mix of Detroit rock and Motown, and Chad brings that sick rock/funk groove that's helped sustain the CHILI PEPPERS for all these years. As for myself, I protect and defend the rock guitar!" The band's debut album, which is due out in early 2008, has already been recorded and is currently in the mixing stages.

On the clinic front, Jeff Kollman will embark on a one-week/four-country tour of South East Asia for Fender Guitars, with whom the guitarist linked up in 2006, before closing out the year with a solo performance at the Baked Potato on December 21 with Christopher Maloney on bass and Glen Sobel (SIXX: A.M., BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) on drums. The itinerary is as follows:

Nov. 27 - Cebu, Phillipines
Nov. 28 - Manila, Phillipines
Nov. 29 - Taipei, Taiwan
Nov. 30 - Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Dec. 01 - Bangkok, Thailand
Dec. 02 - Chiang Mai, Thailand
Dec. 03 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Dec. 04 - Johor Bahru, Malaysia
