CRAZY LIXX To Release 'New Religion' In March

January 28, 2010

Swedish sleaze rockers CRAZY LIXX will release their second album, "New Religion", on March 19 in Europe and April 6 in the U.S. via Frontiers Records.

CRAZY LIXX was formed in 2002 in Malmö, Sweden. The core lineup up through the first album consisted of vocalist Danny Rexon (also known as Dirtchild Danny or D.C. Danny),guitarist Vic Zino, drummer Joél Cirera and bass player Loke Rivano. Zino has since been replaced by Andy Dawson after Vic left to join HARDCORE SUPERSTAR.

CRAZY LIXX's debut album, "Loud Minority", was released in November 2007, and wasf followed by extensive touring throughout 2008 and some of 2009.

According to a press release, the band's sound is often compared to the likes of DEF LEPPARD, KISS, WARRANT and SKID ROW, but has "now matured and evolved in a personal and ultra-melodic interpretation of the sleaze-arena hard rock style."

"New Religion" includes a dozen hard rock gems recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm with producer Chris Laney (EUROPE, CRASHDIET, CANDLEMASS).

Commented singer Danny Rexon: "We set out with one goal, and that was to beat the living shit out of 'Loud Minority' with these new songs, and if you ask me, we've beaten it black and blue. I can't wait to get these new songs played live."
