CRAZY TOWN's SHIFTY SHELLSHOCK Makes Guest Appearance On New PAUL OAKENFOLD Single
July 3, 2002CRAZY TOWN's Shifty Shellshock makes a guest appearance on the track "Starry Eyed Surprise", the second single from PAUL OAKENFOLD's new album, Bunkka.
A video for the song was shot last month in the desert night outside Los Angeles. "With colors everywhere and a backdrop of Joshua trees and sand dunes, it's trippy," a note on OAKENFOLD's web site reports. "Weird and wonderful dressed extras are everywhere!"
In addition to Shellshock, Bunkka features guest appearances from JANE'S ADDICTION's Perry Farrell, NELLY FURTADO, ICE CUBE, and renowned journalist Hunter S. Thompson.
CRAZY TOWN, meanwhile, will release their second album, tentatively entitled Nothing Comes For Nowhere, in November through Columbia Records. Shellshock says that the album draws from the sounds of its predecessor, 1999's The Gift Of Game, but also moves beyond that.
"I mean, it's the same band and it's very melodic, and the heavier songs are even heavier than the last record. You know, I think it's just a progression, you know? Every band, hopefully, if you're a good band, you're gonna grow with every record and that's what I think we've done. We're just growing."
