36 CRAZYFISTS To Film Alaska Concert For Upcoming DVD

August 19, 2008

Vocalist Brock Lindow of the Alaskan metal heavyweights 36 CRAZYFISTS has issued the following update:

"Our new album ['The Tide and Its Takers'] has been out for three months now and it's been awesome to see the growth of people knowing the new songs and the connection we have been able to make with our people. We have a long touring road ahead of us as well as our new label Ferret Music giving us the green light to film our very first live DVD. Now, saying this, the live show will be filmed in Alaska and the show will be monstrous as the ones in the past have proved to be what dreams are made of. But as the years have gone on, you can imagine the amount of ridiculous footage we have from backstage antics to being a 18-year-old skinny, punk-ass kid getting my long hair chopped off by [Steve] Holt [guitar] in a drunken stupor; it's things like this that will be hilarious to sift through and add to our special features section of the DVD. Stay tuned for more updates on that!!!

"Well, the next tour is a short run with our great friends WALLS OF JERICHO, and then we will start a tour with old friends TRIVIUM along with ALL THAT REMAINS and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT. We will be out with these bands 'till mid-October and then start a new tour with IN FLAMES, ALL THAT REMAINS and GOJIRA!!! This tour will take us into December 10, and then we will break for the holidays.

"The filming for the live DVD will be on January 9 in Anchorage, Alaska. We will then have some amazing announcements for mainland Europe, Australia, japan, Pacific Rim, and, of course, jolly ol' England!!!"

Roman from Rock Scarz magazine recently conducted an interview with Brock Lindow. Watch the four-minute chat below.

36 CRAZYFISTS sold 4,150 copies of "The Tide and its Takers" in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 155 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"The Tide and Its Takers" was released on May 27 via Ferret Music. The CD artwork was designed by Sons of Nero, who has previously worked with such bands as IN FLAMES, EVERY TIME I DIE, FULL BLOWN CHAOS and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT.
