CRESCENT SHIELD: Demo Recordings Available For Download

October 10, 2004

CRESCENT SHIELD, the new "high-energy power/traditional metal" band featuring the talents of vocalist Michael Grant (ONWARD),guitarist Dan Delucie (DESTINY'S END),drummer Craig Anderson (ENGINE),and bassist Melanie Sisneros (SINERGY, THE IRON MAIDENS, NEW EDEN),have posted three demo tracks at their official web site. The songs "Last Of My Kind", "Await The Champion" and "Rise Of The Red Crescent Moon" can be downloaded at this location.

In a recent interview with JoeMetal.com, Delucie described CRESCENT SHIELD's sound as "an amalgam of the music we've grown up with. My metal influences are the classics: MAIDEN, SABBATH, DIO, QUEENSRŸCHE, FATES WARNING, PRIEST and the classic thrashers like METALLICA, MEGADETH, and SLAYER. Some other styles creep in there like Celtic stuff and classical especially Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart. Mike's vocal lines and melodies are always catchy and often layered in a SAVATAGE or QUEEN sort of way. His vocal influences are Tate, Warrel Dane, MAIDEN, OVERKILL among others. He's a connoisseur of metal old and new. These are the influences I can detect when I listen to our songs."

CRESCENT SHIELD, who are currently unsigned, have completed the songwriting process for their debut album, which they hope to record with producer Bill Metoyer in the near future.
