CRIMINAL To Support MEGADETH In Chile

May 22, 2008

Anglo-Chilean thrash masters CRIMINAL have been confirmed as the support act for MEGADETH at Arena Santiago in Santiago, Chile on Saturday, May 31. According to unconfirmed sources, over 10,000 tickets have been sold for the concert, which is expected to sell out shortly.

Comments CRIMINAL bandleader Anton Reisenegger: "It's an honor to be invited to support a band of the caliber of MEGADETH. We feel this is an acknowledgement of all our hard work and the confirmation of our relevance in today's metal scene. We can't wait to play for a Chilean audience again and feel its energy and support."

"Personally speaking," continues Reisenegger, "I grew up listening to MEGADETH. I consider Dave Mustaine to be one of the most important musicians in the history of metal, and 'Rust in Peace' is one of my favorite albums to this day."

CRIMINAL is currently busy writing material for its sixth studio album, which should surface sometime in the fall. The group's previous album, "Sicario", was voted one of the Top 10 Albums of the Year in Terrorizer magazine's 2005 Readers' Poll.

CRIMINAL recently uploaded a brand new EPK (Electronic Press Kit) to its YouTube channel. Directed by Roberto Fuentes, the video features live footage from the band's December 2007 performance at Teatro Novedades in Santiago de Chile, as well as an interview with frontman Anton Reisenegger.
