CROWN 10 Split Up, Bandmembers Launch New Projects

CROWN 10, the band featuring former 24-7 SPYZ drummer Joel Maitoza, have split up. Says Joel: "Sorry to say that CROWN 10 is no more, but after much thought and deliberation, [bassist] Roz [Taylor] and I have decided to start a new project together. We wish only the best of luck to [guitarist/vocalist] James [Brady] with any of his new and future endeavors. Out of respect for James, we will carry on under a new band name and launch a new website which will be announced within the weeks to come. Roz and I have been busy working on a bunch of new material and hope to get into the studio in LA to start recording a new album by the summer. Since James wrote the material for the CROWN 10 CD, the musical direction will be a little different on the new stuff. The only styles I can compare it to is a mix between 24-7 SPYZ, FOO FIGHTERS, KING'S X and a little like if THE BEATLES were to record a metal record with a soulful black vocalist kinda vibe (ha-ha). We are very excited about the new project and can't wait for you folks to hear the new songs. "In other news, the band SEVENTRAIN (whose album I produced and tracked drums for and features guitarist Eric Horten formerly of the band CAGE) is now shooting for a release date for their CD in July/August.

"I also just cut drum tracks in the studio this past weekend for the alt. rock act HEADTRIP SUPERSTAR. Their debut CD will also be out in stores by the end of this summer. Great bunch of guys and I might even sit in and play a few shows with them around the West coast in the months to come."
