Singer/songwriter/producer Jean Beauvoir (CROWN OF THORNS, PLASMATICS) has partnered with Pledge Music, which encourages fans to contribute funds to the recording of albums and the artists themselves to donate to charity as a part of their fundraising. Pledgers who dontate toward the making of the new CROWN OF THORNS four-song EP will have access to unique footage, photos, and other exclusives throughout the making that will be only available to "pledgers." They will also be able to pre-order the EP, other special packages and recordings, plus be a part of the process. A portion of the proceeds will go towards helping Haitian children in need.
CROWN OF THORNS' latest album, "Faith", was released in June 2009 via Little Steven Van Zandt's Lost Cathedral label imprint. The disc brought back the trademark CROWN OF THORNS sound that established the band as a rock powerhouse, still keeping intact all the elements of infectious guitar riffs, soaring hooklines, and great melodies.
Beauvoir collaborated with Bob Clearmountain (BRYAN ADAMS, THE ROLLING STONES, BON JOVI, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E-STREET BAND) in the recording sessions for "Faith" as well as Mark Plati (DAVID BOWIE) for the mix — resulting in the best-sounding CROWN OF THORNS album yet.
