"The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways", the sophomore album from the Dallas, Texas-based metalcore band CROWN THE EMPIRE, sold around 24,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on July 22 via Rise Records.

"The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways" track listing:

04. Machines
05. The Wolves Of Paris (Act II)

Since bursting onto the scene in 2012 with its debut full-length, "The Fallout", CROWN THE EMPIRE has shown no signs of slowing down on its undeniable course toward world domination. The band sold over 60,000 copies of its groundbreaking first CD and has been busy touring the world repeatedly, and gracing magazine covers frequently.

CROWN THE EMPIRE's relentless touring schedule has found them sharing stages with such acts as PIERCE THE VEIL, ASKING ALEXANDRIA and THE USED. After being the breakout band on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour, the band was asked to return again this year as a main-stage act.

CROWN THE EMPIRE has been on the cover of Alternative Press over three times in the past year, a feat that has never been accomplished by a new band. They appeared first as the cover artist for Alternative Press' "Bands You Need To Know" issue, then again for their "Stars of Warped Tour" issue, and the band was on the cover of the magazine's July 2014 issue to help build early support for the new album.
