CRUCIFIST To Release Debut Album In September

July 16, 2009

Rochester, New York's ultra old-school raw black metal band CRUCIFIST has completed work on its debut album, "Demon Haunted World", due late September via Profound Lore Records in North America and FETO Records (run by Shane Embury of NAPALM DEATH) in Europe.

Featuring bassist Danny Lilker of BRUTAL TRUTH/NUCLEAR ASSAULT/VENOMOUS CONCEPT etc. and members of doom metal band ORODRUIN, CRUCIFIST's interpretation of old-school raw black metal is reminiscent of the feeling conjured up by such acts as HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST, VENOM, BATHORY, AUTOPSY, and early DARKTHRONE. In addition, CRUCIFIST incorporates elements that reference NWOBHM while bringing in some doom 'n' gloom ala BLACK SABBATH.

Formed in 2004 and already having made quite a reputation within the underground (with a self-released demo and being active on the live circuit),CRUCIFIST is finally set to release its debut album to the hungry underground masses.
