Canadian post-hardcore band CRY OF THE AFFLICTED has inked a deal with Solid State Records. The group's sophomore full-length album will be recorded in Chico, California with producer Jeff Schneeweis (NUMBER ONE GUN) and will be mixed by Tue Madsen (HIMSA, THE HAUNTED, SICK OF IT ALL) at Antfarm studios in Denmark. A summer release is expected. A demo version of a new CRY OF THE AFFLICTED track, entitled "The Influence", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

CRY OF THE AFFLICTED released its full-length debut, "Consume This Wasteland", in June 2006.
