D-A-D Praises New Album Producer
May 15, 2008Danish rockers D-A-D have tapped Jon Schumann (MEW, KENT, KASHMIR, CARPARK NORTH) to produce their latest CD, tentatively due later in the year via EMI.
Commented D-A-D frontman Jesper Binzer: "We have headhunted Joshua for D-A-D a rare but very important choice. Joshua's efficient and fast way of working is 100% right for us. We have the same references and now the foundation for the recording is laid."
The band and Joshua are currently recording the new CD at the Long Branch studio in New Jersey.
Commented guitarist Jacob Binzer: "We have recorded 19 tapes in one week and we have one week left in New Jersey before we go back to Denmark to finish the album, which will hit the stores this fall."
Jesper Binzer and bass player Stig Pedersen of D-A-D took a break from recording their new album to appear on the "Rock and Roll Geek Show" (web site) in San Francisco. They discuss the new album, the producer and D-A-D's career.

D-A-D's "Scare Yourself Alive" CD/DVD was released in May 2006 via EMI. The package features memorable moments from the band's "Scare Yourself Alive" tour, including footage from Roskilde and additional material from the November 2005 show at the KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The group's ninth studio album, "Scare Yourself" topped the album chart in Denmark upon its release in May 2005.
