DAMAGEPLAN: Newly Completed Track To Feature Ex-ALICE IN CHAINS Guitarist

December 29, 2003

DAMAGEPLAN vocalist Patrick Lachman has posted the following message to the group's official fan site, www.damageplan.net:

"Patrick here just giving you a shout to let you know what's in store. First of all, we had a raging good Christmas party at Dime's and We'll ring in the New Year with one more before the 'plan' goes into full effect. We hit the road in January to do a national promotional tour. It will be a series of on-air radio interviews, 35 or so cities in just a couple weeks. Dates, times and cities will be posted in the news section soon.

"The first video hits 'Headbanger's Ball' January 3rd. We shot 'Breathing New Life' here in Dallas and it looks bad ass! This should set the tone for what were about. There's more in the works as well, so keep your eyes open in the coming weeks. I won't ruin the surprise just yet... There's also a shitload of mags putting out covershots and features, so keep your eyes on the news stand too.

"The record is done and it SMOKES! Killer tracks, front to back. You've only had a small taste of what's headed your way. Seems like everyone that hears this record wants to get involved too. The latest volunteer is [former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist] Jerry Cantrell. Inspiration hit when J.C. was down for Thanksgiving and heard an unfinished track that we planned on using on the international release. Before we knew it, he locked himself in a room with a microphone and came out with a masterpiece! He wrote the verses and I finished off the tune almost immediately with the charge I got from hearing J.C.'s pipes on there. It's cool as shit and we're going to pitch it for a big movie soundtrack as well, details to follow.

"Blah, blah, blah... this is all just to pass the fuckin' time until the devastation begins on Feb. 10th. Then we hit the road and throw down the shit live! The four of us are chomping at the fuckin' bit to go tear it up globally. There is some killer shit in the works that I can't disclose as of yet, but watch the fuck out! We'll let you know ASAP, so hang in there....

"Hope everyone has a safe and rippin' good New Year. We'll see you in '04!"
