DAN SWANÖ Sets Record Straight Regarding ANOTHER LIFE, Offers Update On NIGHTINGALE

June 5, 2006

Swedish producer/multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"I just wanted to clear up a few things. I am not really a part of the ANOTHER LIFE project [which is headed by Andreas Karlsson; ex-PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER]. I recorded the drums (performed by Peter Damin),played the keyboards and mixed the album, but I was in not involved in writing any of the music. The record is really good and you should check it out. But… ANOTHER LIFE is NOT a new Swanö project. My 'currently alive' projects these days are NIGHTINGALE and SECOND SKY. All of the material for the new NIGHTINGALE album, 'White Darkness', is written by NIGHTINGALE guitarist/keyboardplayer Tom Nouga [a.k.a. Dan Swanö's brother Dag]. He was on a real writing spree earlier this year and presented a bunch of tracks sharp enough to cut thru diamonds, so I thought, 'Why compete with this??' My job on this album is to write lyrics (together with bassist Erik Oskarsson),sing my soul out and make sure each song is optimised in both arrangement and performance. The tracks with a title thus far are 'The Fields of Life', 'Trial & Error' and 'Healing the Wounds of My Soul'.

NIGHTINGALE's collection of re-recorded songs from the group's first three releases, entitled "Nightfall Overture", was made available last year.
