DANKO JONES Announce First U.S. Tour

March 2, 2005

DANKO JONES, the Toronto-based power rock trio named after their charismatic frontman, have announced their first tour of the United States. The band recently signed to Razor & Tie in the U.S. and will be releasing their first album here, "We Sweat Blood", on April 19.

DANKO JONES is already a smash in Europe, having released three albums and toured numerous festivals and stadiums. The band recently returned from a tour of South Africa and is currently on a spring tour in Holland, Belgium and Germany. As the title of the album suggests, DANKO JONES may be one of the hardest touring bands you'll see. The band unleashes their brand of blasting, kick-ass rock 'n' roll starting in New York City on April 25.

"We've crossed Europe back and forth over a dozen times but we've always had our eyes on the U.S.," stated Danko. "Now the opportunity to tour America has arrived and we're coming prepared. Rock will be brought whether there are 10,000 festival goers or 10 people in a club, it makes no difference to us. Hooking up with Sweden rockers MANDO DIAO definitely ups the ante too. Can we start the tour now? Just talking about it is getting me excited."
