DANZIG: More Details Revealed About 'The Lost Tracks Of Danzig' Limited-Edition LP Release
February 1, 2008DANZIG vinyl collectors will want to reserve their copy of the upcoming limited-edition double-disc LP release (image) of "The Lost Tracks of Danzig". This edition features a fold-out double cover and eight-page 12" booklet.
"The Lost Tracks" is comprised of 26 previously unreleased tracks that span Danzig's entire career and were originally recorded during the band's seven-album "arc" that began with 1988's "Danzig". A video for one of the songs, "Crawl across Your Killing Floor", can be viewed below.
Glenn Danzig completed a short U.S. tour in October/November with a band that included bassist Steve Zing (SAMHAIN) and guitarist Todd Youth (DANZIG, MURPHY'S LAW); former MISFITS axe man Doyle Von Frankenstein and his new band GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN, supported on all dates.
For every Danzig fan who was dying to know the lyrics to all the DANZIG, MISFITS and SAMHAIN songs — tracks that never had their "dark verses" printed — well, wait no more. Glenn Danzig's song lyrics, illustrated by longtime Danzig collaborator and friend Simon Bisley, will see the light of day late spring 2008. Each song gets its own illustration by Bisley, who has painted many album covers for Danzig, including the latest CD, "The Lost Tracks of Danzig", and ex-MISFITS member Doyle Von Frankenstein's solo project GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN (which Glenn produced).
