DARK AGE Preparing To Release 'Acedia'

October 15, 2009

Germany's modern melodic death metallers DARK AGE will release their sixth album, "Acedia", on November 13 via AFM Records. The CD was recorded at Eikey Studio (owned by the band's vocalist/guitarist Eike Freese) and will be available in a standard jewel case version as well as a limited digipack (including a bonus track). The artwork, which can be viewed below, was once again created by Niklas Sundin (of Cabin Fever Media and DARK TRANQUILITY). According to the group, "You can expect the typical DARK AGE melodies and some surprises in our sound as well, mainly because every band member was involved in the songwriting stronger than ever before."

A teaser video for "Acedia" can be viewed below.

DARK AGE's last album, "Minus Exitus", was released in 2008 via Remedy Records.

The band's first DVD, "Live, So Far...", came out in 2006.
