DARK FUNERAL, ENSLAVED: Poughkeepsie Show Cancelled
February 3, 2007DARK FUNERAL and ENSLAVED were forced to cancel their scheduled appearance at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York tonight (Saturday, February 3) after their tour bus broke down. Two two opening bands — one of them being ABIGAIL WILLIAMS — still performed, but to an almost empty venue. The Chance representatives apparently announced that the concert will be resheduled and that all tickets will be honored on the as-yet-unknown new date. A photo of the door sign posted at the venue entrance informing the disappointed punters of the cancellation can be viewed at this location.
DARK FUNERAL's latest album, "Attera Totus Sanctus", was recorded and mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, IN FLAMES, BEHEMOTH) and Örjan Örnkloo (MISERY LOVES CO.) at Dug-Out studios in Uppsala, Sweden. Mastering duties were handled by Tomas Eberger at the Cutting Room in Stockholm, Sweden. The album features a guest appearance by former MESHUGGAH bassist Gustaf Hielm.
DARK FUNERAL currently features vocalist/bassist Emperor Magnus Caligula, guitarist Lord Ahriman, guitarist Chaq Mol, and drummer Matte Modin.
