DARK FUNERAL: North American Tour Postponed

January 17, 2012

Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL have been forced to "postpone" their previously announced North American tour, which was scheduled to kick off on January 29 at the Jaxx nightclub in West Springfield, Virginia. The bad states, "Due to circumstances and events way beyond our control, there is no other way but to postpone these dates. And yes, our triumphant return to the United States Of America is definitely not cancelled, but postponed. And we will try to announce the new North American tour dates as soon as possible, so you better stay tuned! However, our appearance at the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise will take place as planned. Hope to see some of you there."

The new lineup of DARK FUNERAL — featuring the group's latest additions, vocalist Nachtgarm (NEGATOR) and bassist Zornheym — made its live debut on the Sweden Rock Cruise. The ship Tallink Silja Galaxy set sail from Stockholm, Sweden on October 6, 2011 and made a round trip to Turku, Finland before returning to Stockholm 23 hours later.

DARK FUNERAL last year parted ways with Regain Records. The band's guitarist, Lord Ahriman, stated, "Time went by and we didn't see any future whatsoever to continue to work with them." He added, "At this point in time we have not signed to a new label, but negotiations are currently taking place. And until we have signed a new deal, we are open to any and all offers that come our way."
