DARK FUNERAL To Play Special Set At Belgium's GRASPOP METAL MEETING

June 6, 2013

Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL are celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013 with a number of festival appearances all over Europe. At the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, the band will play a never-seen-before exclusive setlist. This very setlist comprises the legendary debut MCD from 1994 (including "Open The Gates") and the entire classic "The Secrets Of The Black Arts" album from beginning to end — crowned by a special pyro show. The event is also a tribute to the founding DARK FUNERAL member David "Blackmoon" Parland, who died earlier this year. Blackmoon left DARK FUNERAL in 1996 after the release of "The Secrets Of The Black Arts", but will always remain an import part of DARK FUNERAL's legacy.

DARK FUNERAL's Graspop Metal Meeting setlist:

01. Open The Gates
02. Shadows Over Transylvania
03. My Dark Desires
04. In The Sign Of The Horns
05. The Secrets Of The Black Arts
06. The Dawn No More Rises
07. When Angels Forever Die
08. The Fire Eternal
09. Satan's Mayhem
10. Bloodfrozen
11. Dark Are The Paths To Eternity

A new DARK FUNERAL album is in the works and is planned for an early 2014 release. The band is also currently looking for a permanent new vocalist — preferably someone based in Scandinavia. Serious applications can be sent to [email protected].

After an extensive and exhausting tour through Asia and Australia in late 2012, DARK FUNERAL parted ways with vocalist Nachtgarm.
