DARK FUNERAL Working On Two DVDs
March 26, 2007Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL have issued the following update:
"One of the most frequent questions we have received during the last couple of years has been 'When the hell are you guys going to release a live DVD?' Well, your requests have been heard. We are currently hard at work on putting together not only one DVD, but TWO double DVDs!!! The first out of the two double DVDs is planned to hit the stores on June 18th through Regain Records. More info to follow shortly…"
In other news, DARK FUNERAL has posted its official live video for the song "Atrum Regina" on its YouTube channel.
DARK FUNERAL recently made its movie debut in "Club Satan: The Witches Sabbath", written and directed by Shane Bugbee, an actual priest in the Church Of Satan. The entire band appears in the film, which is being touted as "the first-ever Satanic porn," and is being released by the controversial Extreme Associates.
DARK FUNERAL not only stars in "Club Satan: The Witches Sabbath", but also contributes its song "King Antichrist" to the movie soundtrack. The scenes featuring the band were shot before and during their show at the Key Club in Hollywood, California on January 21, 2007.
The members of DARK FUNERAL are no strangers to controversy themselves. In 2004 one crazed fan in Chile, Rodrigo Orias, murdered a Catholic priest during a sermon in Santiago. In 2006, the band inadvertently incited a riot in Peru when legions of fans destroyed the venue and vandalized nearby buildings and cars after DARK FUNERAL was forced to perform without its lead singer.
